Job Description:

A company is looking for a Senior HIMS Tech to join their Acute Care HIMS Team.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate daily operations and monitor workflow within the health information management systems department
Assist in training staff and act as a liaison between management and HIMS staff to ensure effective communication and service delivery
Conduct routine and complex releases of health information while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations

Required Qualifications

Completion of one or more years of post-high school education or experience in medical records and information systems
At least 3 years of related work experience in a healthcare role with knowledge of health information management practices
Strong technical skills in using office and medical records software applications and databases
Ability to exercise independent judgment and prioritize work effectively
Current enrollment in the Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) Program is preferred
