Job Description:
A company is looking for a Trauma Surgery Complex Physician
Coder.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze medical records and accurately code diagnostic and
procedural information
Abstract clinical diagnoses and procedure codes into electronic
medical records
Ensure compliance with coding rules and regulations, providing
quality assurance for medical records
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
High school diploma/GED or equivalent specialized training in
medical record keeping
Certification as a CPC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIA, or RHIT in active
status
Three or more years of complex professional coding experience
within the specialty
Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding principles as per AHIMA coding
competencies
Ability to work effectively in a remote setting using coding
software and abstracting systems
