Job Description:
A company is looking for an Operations Engineer to manage and
optimize batch processing jobs in Linux and Windows
environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Deploy and manage application code updates, including Cobol code
deployments using Git
Monitor, manage, and troubleshoot batch jobs in Linux and Windows
environments
Write, modify, and maintain scripts for automation and job
scheduling
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in IT operations or similar roles focused on
batch processing and job automation
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a
related field (or equivalent experience)
Proficiency in Linux command-line operations (Red Hat, Ubuntu, or
similar)
Experience with job scheduling tools such as Cron and Windows Task
Scheduler
Scripting expertise (Bash, Python, or similar) for automation and
job management
